Energization Exercises

In 1916 Paramahansa Yogananda discovered the principles of what would become part of his legacy to the yogic sciences, a unique exercise system called "Energization Exercises."

This system of energy control teaches how to tap the vast sea of Cosmic Life Force, prana, and charge the body/mind with it.

The exercises foster health by promoting vitality, help one sense and direct life force, and most importantly, aid spiritual development by reducing distractions to meditation caused by illness.

The exercises are ideally practiced twice daily, before primary meditation periods. They can be learned by participating in learn-as-you-go sessions or, alternately, in one-time classes or incremental series specifically meant to teach them. The latter two offerings are given periodically, at the teacher’s discretion, and typically cover the following information:

  • The Exercises
  • How They Work
  • Their Spiritual Value

When familiar with them, they take only 10 to 15 minutes to do.

Testimonials:

"I've been practicing Energization exercises for about six months as preparation for evening meditation. As I grow more consistent with my practice, the effects are becoming more and more tangible: I have greater energy, vitality, and focus. I am able to meditate longer, with higher concentration, and deeper satisfaction. For these reasons, I highly recommend incorporating Energizations into one's spiritual practice." “I've practiced these exercises for over 20 years and found they give an energizing element unlike any other exercise I've done. Once when traveling with my wife, I was fatigued to the point of being dizzy. After doing a set of these exercises I was invigorated and ready for some hefty sightseeing! They aren't a magic pill but really do work if practiced.”
