About the Instructor
Founding a Center
In 2004, with 30+ years experience and finding himself called to help facilitate peoples' spiritual development, Alan L. Pritz founded the Center for Inner Awakening, LLC. The CFIA serves as an ecumenical, meditation-focused yoga facility that uses the inspirational teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda as a model for promoting inner growth.
Author
Author of Pocket Guide To Meditation (Crossing Press: 1997), and As I Awaken: Crafting A Spiritual Life (2004), Alan also wrote the section on workplace spirituality for Training for Tough Topics (AMACOM: 2000).
Alan's contributed numerous articles about spirituality for Minnesota Physician, Employee Benefits News, Twin Cities Wellness, & The Edge Newspaper.
Musician
In 2002 Alan produced a CD inspired by devotional chants of the Paramhansa Yogananda tradition, "Joy of the Soul: Cosmic Chants."
Consulting Career
In 1988, Alan integrated his background in meditation, yoga, martial arts and complementary healing therapies to fashion Inner Resource Enhancement (IRE), a consulting practice that fused holistic principles with practical vision to provide innovative Lifestyle, Inner-Resource, and Performance Enhancement seminars for business, healthcare, and educational institutions. IRE now serves as the corporate consulting arm of CFIA.
Trainer
Alan served as adjunct faculty at the University of St. Thomas Management Center where he developed and facilitated a workshop on Spirituality in the Workplace. He also designed a training, "Yoga, Meditation, and Spirituality" for physicians and medical office managers as part of an Integrative Medicine symposium sponsored by the U of St. Thomas Center for Medical Affairs.
Speaker
Alan addressed the National Wellness Conference on "Opening Organizational Doors to Balance & Spirituality" and has been involved with various radio and public speaking venues, book signings, and related events.
